The Annual Fund
Like all independent schools, we structure our tuition so that is affordable to the widest possible range of families. Annual Fund gifts bridge the gap between tuition and the true cost of providing each student the extraordinary opportunities of a Gateway education. Each academic year, the school relies on gifts to the Annual Fund to provide special resources for students and faculty that distinguish our school. These gifts allow us to invest in our rich academic and co-curricular programs that enrich each child’s educational experience at Gateway.
Gifts to the Annual Fund are a direct investment in the education of every Gateway student. Because dollars from Annual Giving are unrestricted and immediately available, your generosity can be put to good use right now, addressing real needs and having real impact. Every gift, no matter the size, is significant. For more information about the Annual Fund, see our Annual Fund FAQ’s page.
Life Lab Fund
Join us as we grow our new Life Lab Garden on the Natural Bridges Campus.
Why a new Life Lab Garden?
Gateway School has recently finalized an exciting opportunity to move our school to a new campus at the former Natural Bridges Elementary School on Swift Street in Santa Cruz. This ambitious endeavor brings with it the need for targeted capital improvements, and specifically in this case, the design and construction of a new Life Lab Garden and outdoor science classroom.
Our award-winning ¼ acre Life Lab garden and outdoor science classroom has been one of Gateway’s flagship programs since moving to its current campus on Eucalyptus Avenue 30 years ago. Now that we are moving to a new campus, we look forward to the opportunity to create a beautiful new outdoor science classroom and Life Lab Garden for our students.
