Giving Overview
Established in 1970, Gateway School is an independent, coed, non-sectarian school serving students in Santa Cruz County. The school is a non-profit, 501 c 3 corporation, and the operations of the school are funded through tuition and charitable contributions. We receive no state or religious-based funding. Donations to Gateway School are tax-deductible to the extent provided by law.
The purpose of the Gateway School development program is to support the school's mission. The financial support that Gateway School receives each year from parents, grandparents, alumni, friends, foundations and businesses makes it possible for the school to pursue our educational mission that values small classes, excellence in teaching, creative, experiential learning, and being responsible to one’s community .
This high quality program requires personal commitment, energy, time and money above and beyond tuition and fees. Tuition fees do not cover the full expense of educating each child, therefore the fulfillment of the mission is dependent upon voluntary charitable giving for both current and future years' programs.
We accept gifts through our Annual Giving Campaign, Targeted and Major Gifts, Annual Auction Event, SCRIP/Shopping programs, Foundation Grants, and Bequests.
