Experience

Caprice taught at Peninsula School in Menlo Park for four years before joining the Gateway faculty.

"I love our children's endless enthusiasm for the wonder of the natural world!" Caprice enthuses. "They teach me how to see the world with fresh eyes and keep me smiling and young at heart. I also love Gateway's commitment to environmental education and stewardship. It is not just an extra subject here, it is a way of life. I so appreciate being a part of a school that values the type of education that involves children actively in their own learning. Our many whole-school events, field trips and community service projects make Gateway a true extended family."

When she's not in the Life Lab garden, Caprice enjoys cooking, pottery, hiking, birding, political and environmental work and reading.
