Experience Jennifer started teaching in 1996 in Novato, California. She returned to Santa Cruz in 2001 and began teaching first grade at Gateway. Through the years, she has taught all grade levels K-4.
"One of the joys of teaching is that I get to learn along with my students each year," Jennifer says. "A personal goal for me every September is to provide a safe, comfortable, fun atmosphere in our classroom where risk taking and participation are fostered. I strive to challenge learners, engage them, and guide them through both academic and social content relevant to the exit goals for the year."
When she's not in the classroom, Jennifer likes to hike, walk on the beach, mountain bike, cook and spend time with her husband and young son.
