Experience Rajiv started teaching in St. Louis, Missouri, and moved to Santa Cruz to work for the American Red Cross as Director of Health and Safety. For 13 years, he directed the Red Cross instructors with first aid, CPR and water safety programs in Santa Cruz County. Upon returning to teaching, he taught in the Cupertino School District and at Shoreline Middle School.
"I was extremely happy to find my beloved home at Gateway," Rajiv recalls. "I have been coaching sports since I was 16 years old. Teaching and coaching brings joy to my life and I feel blessed to be able to share this with the Gateway students. Guiding the students' progress through the grades and on to graduation never ceases to amaze me."
Ravij's other passion is the wilderness. When he is not backpacking or cross-country skiing, you can find him riding his mountain bike, playing tennis, beach volleyball or basketball, or adventuring around the world with his wife, daughter and friends.
