Can you believe another school year has flown by?! Join us on Thursday, June 12, for the final day of school events. There will be a parent coffee at 8:00 followed by the K-7 Step Up Ceremony at 9. Gateway students create an impressive array of art each year. Parents and families are invited to the annual Art Tour beginning on Tuesday, May 27th to view some of this incredible work. Every K-5 student will have a piece of artwork in the show, along with Middle School students who have taken a visual arts elective. The tour is self-guided, so come at your convenience. Bid a fond farewell to Head of School David Peerless on Friday, May 30. The celebration begins with a morning coffee from 8 to 9 a.m. and continues throughout the day with classroom visits, a school-wide lunch and a 1:30 p.m. assembly. It's not too late to try out for the annual student talent show. Those who need a piano can try out in the Library on Tuesday, May 20 between 12 and 12:40. All other try-outs will be Wednesday, May 21 in the Middle School science room between 12:15 and 1 p.m. The talent show will be on Wednesday, June 11.]]>
The spring music concerts will take place on Sunday, May 18th at 2 and 4 p.m. at Pacific Cultural Center, located at Seabright and Broadway. The 2 o'clock show will feature students from Haley, Cathy, Jen & Julie, Sari and Bill's classes. The 4 o'clock show highlights students from Rachel, Patricia, Kaia, Kurt and Tess' classes. Be sure to arrive in costume at least 15 minutes before show time!]]>
The annual Life Lab Plant Sale will have special plants in beautiful containers perfect for Mothers Day gifts! Student volunteers will also be selling the plants they have grown during Life Lab classes, from sunflowers and gourds to strawberries and day lilies. Be sure to stop by, May 9th through May 16, Gymnastics Night was such a hit, the GPA is offering a second evening of tumbling fun on Saturday, May 17th at the Santa Cruz Gymnastics Center. We've even extended the hours from 5:30 to 8 p.m. so you can enjoy a bit more "adult time". You must register by Thursday, May 15th. For more information click on the flyer at right.
