We will focus on the phases of the writing process (brainstorming, drafting, editing, revising and publishing), in addition to learning how to use structured writing templates and Inspiration® software to organize ideas and write in a more efficient manner. Fifth graders will focus on writing different types of solid, well-constructed paragraphs as well as continuing to develop good keyboarding skills. Sixth and Seventh graders will focus on essay writing. Each student’s portfolio will contain finished work, and tools and strategies for writing projects during the upcoming school year.
