Have fun learning Spanish this summer in one of three grade-specific classes. Students will experience the Spanish language through oral exercises and activities revolving around the rich culture and traditions of Spanish-speaking countries. Younger students will play games and cook yummy Spanish treats. Older students will tell stories and make cultural crafts. Designed for students who are new to Spanish as well as those who might need a refresher. The 1st and 2nd grade class will also be sign-language enriched! Taught by Ana Pena, Patty Lucas, and Cindy Tinetti.

All the world’s a stage! Let your stories take the stage in this drama workshop at West End Theater. Students will work on a drama showcase, which ties in thematically with our afternoon Science Magic class (fun with both, but not required to enroll in this class). Come join us for your child’s performance at 11:45 on Friday the 15th at the theater. Transportation will be provided to and from the Gateway campus. Taught by experienced instructors from West End Theater.

Is it magic or is it science? Have fun with physics and amaze your family and friends when you put on your own science magic show! Make raisins dance, Ziplocs pop, and water move at angles and against gravity. Marvel at muscle resistance, play tricks on your eyes, and make light bend and bounce. Your magical guide is Gateway Life Lab science teacher Caprice Potter.
